Further Information16 Performances. / "Matthäuspassion" was a threefold production (termed as a triptych). The first part was based on Ingmar Bergman´s Winter Light in a new translation by Renate Bleibtreu. / The second part was based on Henrik Ibsen´s Brand. The last part was based on the Gospel of Matthew and the libretto of Bach´s St. Matthew Passion. Other text parts from Dostoevsky, Kinski and Saramago.
