DescriptionA merry man and entertainer, Peer Gynt chose a dangerous principle in life – to be satisfied with himself. The two women who love him, his mother Ose and the young Solveig, have spent their whole lives waiting, while Peer Gynt has spent his life wandering and adventuring. Only in his declining years did he realize that this was not the meaning of life. The beauty of the harsh northern nature, the heroics of ancient Norwegian legends and the unique musical version, which includes quotes from authentic melodies of the national Norwegian dance Halling, make the ballet bright and original.
