The production was part of an Ibsen cycle which comprised Hedda Gabler, A Doll’s House, Pillars of Society, Ghosts, The Wild Duck, Rosmersholm, An Enemy of the People and Peer Gynt. The cycle was given twice in the spring of 1918 and twice in the autumn of 1918. Rosmersholm was given on 4 May as the sixth performance in cycle no. 1, on 8 May as the fourth performance in cycle no. 2 and on 6 December as the eighth performance in the autumn’s cycle no. 2.
