| Notes | The theatre building in which Trøndelag Teater resides is the oldest stage in Scandinavia still in use. It has previously been used by Throndhjems Theater from 1861 until 1865 and Trondhjems Nationale Scene from 1911 until 1927. Both of these theatre companies are considered antecedents of Trøndelag Teater, which opened in 1937 and is still the resident theatre of this building. In the years when the building did not have a resident theatre, the theatre was still used for performances (registered as Theatret i Trondheim). |
