Description | The students of the School of Arts are honored to offer you a reappropriation of Henrik Ibsen's lyrical and satirical drama "Peer Gynt", with musical excerpts by Edvard Grieg.
Peer Gynt is a cunning and pretentious peasant who, after seducing a young bride, leaves her house, despite the warnings of his mother, Aase. Peer Gynt then lives irresponsibly, pursuing adventures and loves without caring about others. Inspired by Norwegian popular literature, the story questions authenticity, selfishness...
More than fifty students, aged 7 to 18, will perform on stage: about forty students from Jean-Christophe Police's Avranches and Pontorson percussion classes as well as 12 students from Patricia Williams' teenage theater classes. The stage sets will be provided by Delphine Doublet's visual arts students, whose exhibition "Peer Gynt" will also be visible on February 1 and 2 in the theater's galleries. |
