| Description | A young, poor, man, Halvard Solnes, considers it his mission on earth to build temples and bell towers. When he completes the bell tower in the old church in Lüssenger, he climbs to its top to hang the wreath on his creation, following the custom. Many years later, we find Solnes, the Master Builder, as he calls himself, married to Alina, successful and wealthy having stopped building the house of the Lord to build houses for people.
