DescriptionThe movie plot taps partly into the previous events performed by Quartucci's company (1974-1980). The movie is divided into five parts, each exploring the theatre medium: The theater-theater; The dismantled theater; Theater as cinema; Cinema as theatre; Theater on television (the clip below shows an extract of this last part). The movie features three characters playing the role of Torvald Helmer, each representing a specific type of love: passionate, tender and abstract love (represented by a dancer). Throughout the entire movie the metatheatrical and metacinema devices are dominant; there is also no clear cut differences between Nora, as a character, and the actress playing her role. The movie, as well as the previous performances, provides an insight into the mind of the actress performing the role of Nora.
