| Further Information | Ruiting Hall is originally called Weiting Hall, but renamed into Ruiting Hall in 1934 and is still in use today. This performance was originally performed in 1927 but called off in the middle by officials. Zhang Pengchun renamed the play into Gangbi de yiheng(The Stubborn Doctor) and put it on stage again in 1928 to dodge the censorship of the government. |
