DescriptionIbsen's ‘The Wild Duck’ explores themes of truth and lies, redemptive illusions, and sacrifice. This adaptation approaches these themes in a new way. Instead of twenty characters, there are only four, who move like ghosts in a smoky reality. While Ibsen created a heroic portrait of his century, a clear architecture, the image of our present is never fully developed. It keeps changing before our eyes, with new figures appearing and others fading away, never coming to a standstill. The domestic sphere becomes a battleground of habits whose meaning increasingly pales.
