| Description | Written by Henrik Ibsen 125 years ago and re-read today by director Rajeev Badhan, who interweaves theatrical word, video, and live set, the show represents the new stage of SlowMachine company's journey in the use of new technologies to innovate different artistic languages. This journey aims for multidisciplinarity and contamination, directly involving the spectator. The last work of the great Norwegian playwright, "When We Dead Awaken," is a text with strong symbolist significance and a dramatic epilogue. It is brought to light to reflect on the relationship between art and life, on missed expectations, on artistic vocation, on remorse for a life perhaps not fully lived, and on art as self-realization, as a form of being present. |
