Event Ibsen ha muerto (o lo que le hubiera pasado a Nora)
Print | Go to Admin
DescriptionEven though Henrik Ibsen died 117 years ago, he is still dangerous: His theater continues to be the most fierce and critical of hypocritical bourgeois morality. "Ibsen is Dead" focuses on his female characters: passionate and repressed women, kind and evil, submissive and rebellious, self-sacrificing and patient. In "A Doll's House" Nora Helmer discovers that his goodbye and her final slamming of the door are no longer enough; In "Spectros" she is Lena Alving, who can no longer slam doors and must learn to say goodbye. Could it be Elena, the Nora who couldn't slam the door and leave? Can Ibsen continue to “scare the bourgeois” in the 21st century?
