DescriptionNominated for the Theater Prize of the Free Scene Essen 2023 Nora lives well. Protected. She decorates the Christmas tree. The little lark, the little songbird as her husband Torvald calls her. She's good at that. She does that well. Little Nora. She just can't handle money. That doesn't suit her. And Torvald takes every opportunity to tell her that. But it's not all that bad because he loves his little nightingale. The glamor of the upper ten thousand seems to live in the Helmers family. You bathe in it because you just have to say to yourself: “Everything is fine.” - And then you put your worries aside. One day an old friend stands in the door. Christine. How nice that you came to visit us. And Christine knows how to ask the right questions. She smiles, she listens. And who would you rather tell about the worries you've put aside than an old friend? Torvald has recently become the head of a joint-stock bank. Prosperity is ensured. If only there weren't these worries. And then this Krogstad appears... And the past that you have made so beautiful, that you have cared for, that you have locked away so successfully, now comes into play and the doll's house fears for its splendor. Duration: Approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes with one break.
