Unha inimiga do pobo |
Description | Unha inimiga do pobo is the adaptation of one of the most significant pieces of universal dramatic literature. One hundred and forty years later, Henrik Ibsen's text continues to serve as inflammable material to denounce a way of doing politics that prioritizes economic benefits over the health of the population, while allowing reflection on the power of the media to shape the public opinion and place it in the place where the power is interested. The validity of the text is manifested by discovering how the incipient problems that the protagonist faced in the 19th century have become even more profound and harmful today. With the desire to bring the piece even closer, present-day Galicia serves as the stage for a proposal where misinformation, the power of social networks, the ecological crisis and neoliberal predation create a hostile context in which human emotions are subjected to maximum pressure. |
