Event The Daughter
Print | Go to Admin
DescriptionA son returns to his former homeland after a long time, which brings up conflicts – this is an old topos of world literature. Henrik Ibsen constructed his play »The Wild Duck« around this motif. The Australian theatre director Simon Stone has modernised this material and adapted it for the cinema. The Daughter premiered at the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival and was released in Australia on 17 March 2016.
